I'd put some fresh ww fluid in it and make sure you use the washer until the
new fluid comes through. Maybe it was frozen.

Well, today was the first day that I've had a chance to look at the thing
again - combination of the holidays, cold weather
and sickness keeping me from it. Everything now works fine, so I am thinking
that there must have been some residual blockage
in the system that was constricting the flow and therefore blowing the fuse.
Just in case, I have shown my wife how to change the fuse,
since she is driving the car more than I am these days!
Thanks to all for the ideas.
Our van had sympathetic frozen lines on Thursday, as we were on our way to
ski in NW NJ. I guess Hondas aren't as senstitive
as the motor kept cranking away with no fluid flow. The lines did unfreeze
after sitting in the sun all day, so we had washers on the
way home.

Do you have an extra pump to test?

Any thoughts on why my WW washer pump is blowing fuses? We had some icy snow
here Friday and when my son took the
car to go snowboarding on Saturday, he called to say that the washers
weren't working. The washers are under the lip of the hood
and very difficult to get to to clear the holes with a pin, however the area
under the lip was cleared of snow and ice. I pulled the
fuse this am and it was shot. Purchased new ones from my FLAPS and it
proceeded to blow them. You can give it a quick
squirt safely, but if you hold it for say 5 or 6 seconds, the fuse blows and
the pump stops.
Happy Holidays to all!
