X1/9

The fiat Uno turbo is an upgrade on the X1/9 that doesn't involve major surgery. You just have to add a megasquirt or simular injection to get gas in the right places. Turbo is one of the reasons I got an Audi. That and the strange attraction to the weird smell of the 80s Audi interiors.

An interestng thing between the makes is the use of bosch for stock injection (K Jetronic for Fiat, L Jetronic for Audi) Makes troubleshooting the Audi alittle easier after piddling with the FI Xs. 

Older carbed fiats easiest of all. They follow the G-A-S rule: Gas, Air, Spark at the right time makes the engine go round. Bosch Injections needs the previously mentioned plus a cash offering to the sensor gods.
