You're right, only the cheaper handle for the 4K specifies it's Germany. 

I always ask when getting anything, I got burned on a heater core for the
V8Q too, at a glance it was obviously a very cheap brass unit with fins
suitable for tropical climates only.  Luckily I didn't risk installing
it.  Wasn't even worth return shipping for the price, I'll make an oil or
transmission cooler out of it one of these days.  
A phone call or e-mail when buying to check provenance is always a good
idea, especially when there's no illustration available.
