4k door problems.. still

I use AutohausAZ a lot too. Have always had good experience with them.
Once in a while something will show up the very next day from a warehouse in
Denver too. Sweet.
I was disappointed with some parts I bought yesterday at local BagGeon
store. I got a couple of distributor rotors for an 86 GTI 16v to use on my
90 V8q when it developed a misfire. They are made by Brembi. Cheap ass
crap. The piece that makes "contact" with the cap as it spins is thinner in
the plastic casting was rough and not cleaned off well at all near the
contact. Whatever... I'll specify Bosch next time.
Turns out the misfire was not a rotor problem after all, one of the new dist
caps that I bought at Rock Auto on clearance for pretty cheap broke. One of
the towers on that where you plug the spark plug wire was cracked. I have
no idea when that happened or how. It may have been when I pushed the plug
wire onto it I suppose because the whole thing is made much cheaper than the
Bosch cap I took off. You can actually feel the difference in weight.
Beware cheaper parts.
