Part of the difference is the shock absorber attachment, and part is the
wings of the core support that provide attachment points for the front of
the V8s fenders. The 5k/200 uses arms to do that and the fenders differ
significantly at the front.

When you mention the attachment parts are you talking about the bumper
shock absorbers? So to fit those onto the 5k/200 rails one still needs a
chunk of V8 rail to be welded in place?
