Visiting Bavaria

Hi Mark,

No specific comment about Germany, never been there, but one comment about
fast driving on European highways : rent a diesel.

No kidding, small diesels are way more fun that small gas engines. And if
you can, rent yourself a 6 cylinder German car, either A4 or MB/BMW. I have
a 335d as a press car this week, and this beast is absolutely a joy to
drive. 465 ft-lb of torque in a 3 series launch that lil' sedan with so much
authority that I can hardly regret last week ride, a Challenger R/T with the
5.7 hemi and a 6 speed manual. From the butt-dyno, the automatic 335d is
faster.

I'm convinced now. Turbodiesel is the future. If you never drove a diesel
since your aunt's 1989 Jetta, you'll be in for a huge surprise.

-What models of any of the German car companies would be a sweet ride to
take down the Autobahn and into the Alps at the south of Germany
