Mating 4k tranny to 3b motor

Hi - I'm sure there's a few out there that have done this motor swap.

 

After struggling w/the 3b pilot bearing - finally getting it out and
putting the new 3B pilot bearing back into the motor - it seems that the
4k tranny input shaft is much larger than what the stock 3B motor is
expecting.

 

I believe I need to re-remove the 3B pilot bearing and install the 4k
pilot bearing into the 3b motor - will that work?
