Blasted Alarm!

Mark is a genius! I often leave the windows cracked and sunroof tilted
when it's hot out, like today, when it tripped. The alarm has never
tripped at night when I have it locked up tighter than a (insert
inappropriate metaphor here)!

Thanks Mark!

I'm going to go out on a limb.... this happens only with the windows
and/or sunroof open.

The factory interior sensors (slots in B pillars) can be triggered by
the wind (changes in air pressure, presumably). Their sensitivity can
be adjusted with VAG-COM.

Hey Fans,

I have an '01 S4a that occasionally feels paranoid. It trips the alarm
system occasionally for no apparent reason. It's happened 6 or 8 times
in the last couple months. I always assumed that someone was screwing
with me, but today I was outside with site of it and it tripped when no
one was around. Any bright ideas what could be causing this?
