VAG Radios & OBD-II

If there is any doubt at all, pull the radio & any wiring adapters that are in line with the radio.

I had problems once with an OE VAG radio that was made for a pre-OBD-II model.  It will make that logic line unusable too.  It may also prevent the power line from shutting the radio off when you want it to be shut off...

OTOH, I have an OBD-II compatible OEM radio in my '98 Jetta TDi (OBD-II compatible car)...it told me about a speaker wiring short...and it was right.
