A8 Trans update

Thanks for the well wishes everybody! After looking at what it seemed like it was going to take to get the trans out I was considering just dumping the car, but eventually I just started taking parts off and before I knew it I was too far in to give up.
I've now got the trans on the floor. The hardest part was the starter. The starter arrangement on this car is nothing short of idiotic (Audiotic??). Yesterday eve I unbolted the downpipes (an easy 6 bolts), pulled the driveshaft, and removed the starter. Today in the same ammount of time I was able to do EVERYTHING ELSE! Now the HUGE transmission is on the ground. Tomorrow I shal pull the pump with every digit crossed that I can spare. If I have as much luck with that as I did getting the car in the first place I'll drive the thing Sunday night. I fear that I used 2 years worth of luck just to get this car for what I got it for.
