Steve beat me on the VIN, that was one of my thoughts. Here's another
thing to add to your information.
It's from "Excellence" magazine, April 2007. "The 968 was introduced
in the fall of 1991 as a 1992 model. It was the first car of the
924/944/968 family of Porsches to be built at the
Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen plant instead of the VW plant at Neckarsulm."
Now I'm not sure where they get their information, but like I said, if
nothing else it's something else to add to your info.
BTW, what bellhousing gets used when putting an Audi engine into a
924/944 anyhow? Just curiosity more than anything else.
