I wonder if you can claw back some height with a dry sump?  A hood scoop
with exposed supercharger would be the way to go given my antipodean accent.
;-)  In fact the car is already black hmmm now there is a project!

Trouble is that the LS is even taller than the LT. On a 944 you must lower 
the subframe which throws off the camber curve and puts the lower ball 
joints one pothole from disaster because they are held 90% towards the end 
of thier travel when the car is at rest. I know you told me in the past that

the LT is too tall as it is. Of course though for your purposes a hood scoop

may be proper ;-).
