A little fiberglass hood "power bulge" with maybe a direct scoop feeding the
engine (since both the LT and LS engines have the throttle body up front and
center)?

Should be OK for aero as long as the scoop was ramming air into the
engine.... although I'd probably want to test with a pressure transducer to
see how "tight" the scoop should be.

Aero is my weak link at high speed tracks in my Z06. 3050 lbs with 405
stock hp.... I can enter turn 2 at Watkins Glen at 105 MPH and stick it
(still have to use some balance throttle... it's not full throttle like on
my S4 which enters at a slower speed). At 107+ (entry speed) the car will
slide out (understeer) for the left curve in the esses. An aero
package would totally fix that so I'd be more limited by the tires
themselves.

I'd love to drop an LS6 into a caged AWD body with big fat sticky tires.
