Very much in agreement on that.

Well, not quite.  The low pressure sensor is read at low rpms, and above 
~3000 rpms the high pressure sensor is read.

That is correct.  The two wire sender is both the high pressure switch 
and the sender for the pressure gauge.

If you short the correct wire to ground, the warning should go away.
