Expect the plastic clips that hold the window lift cables to the glass to
break eventually. I replaced the ones on the passenger side right after I
bought the car 2 years ago and one of the ones on the driver's side is
broken now. They are not expensive and you can replace them yourself. And
get that timing belt looked at ASAP, if it breaks you are screwed.
I had a 90Q20V prior to buying the A6. I love the A6 but it feels like a
Buick compared to the 90Q.

Hello Gentlemen,
Long time listener - great list!
I need advice on a 2000 A6, 4.2L (quattro) with just over 100k mile.
Very clean Colorado car; owner said it need the 106k mile engine
belt change.
Do you guys have any recommendations on what to look for, expected
issues with this MY car at this mileage.
I have recently sold my 1990 A80Q 2.3L, manual, with 200k miles and
have been very happy with that ownership.
Any inputs, suggestions, warnings MUCH appreciated!
Also, what would be a fair price to offer?
Thank you,
Tony Ander, Palmer Lake, CO.
