Hello All,
Here in Tahoe, the favorites are Preserva Products/Preservawood (designed/formulated in Tahoe City) Semi-Transparent. Lightly colored. Recommend refinishing every 2-3 years.
Superdeck. Semi-Trans. A bit heavier colored. Tends to flake after a few years if not refinished 2-3 years again.
Sikens seems to be my favorite. Also Semi-Trans. Also recommend refinishing 2-3 years.
Most product seem to last only a few years.
Olympic and Thompsons both are heavily advertised and mostly sit on the surface and do not penetrate the deck much. Most Semi-Transparent leave pigment in the pores of the wood. That keeps dirt, pollen and emissions out. But if not recovered(refinished) will flake off.
Sorry, yes I used to sell the stuff.
1st.  Sikens
2nd PreservaWood
3rd Superdeck.

HTH.
Paul

now Bob,
This here thread would have been far more list-worthy if you'd revealed a way to run the pressure washer off the chipped AAN a la Tool Time... . THAT would be a hoot.
But since you brought it up I'll be interested in serious responses, as I need to do the same, and Thompson's is like water, and I don't want to use it.

Hi Y'all,

Re: subject line - Absolute Zero Audi Content.

Every couple of years I get all involved with preparations for
summer.  I just finished pressure washing our three pressure treated
wood decks and, after allowing them to dry for a few days, I'll need
to again treat the wood with a preservative/water repellant.  The ten
year old decks have seen some rather severe weathering but are still
in decent shape.  Over the years I have used a couple of different
products for this treatment.  One was from Lowe's and was called
Olympic wood seal (or something like that - it came highly
recommended by the contractor who built our house).  I didn't like
it.  The other was the highly advertised Thompson's Water Seal which
seems to have worked pretty well but requires fairly frequent re-treatments.

D'ya have any other suggestions which might prove to be an upgrade
from the Thompson's product?

Oh, some minimal AC - I'll likely bring the stuff home in the trunk
of my urS6.  ;-)

Bob
