Oh?  I've started buying 'em 2 at a time from the dealer because of the 
warranty.  Unfortunately, you have to take the car into them to get that 
handled.  I'm on my 3rd dealer switch in 2 years in the A6, and the next 
one is sitting in my toolbox.  They're easy, so it's not a big deal, but 
they're also relatively expensive, and it's a PITA to have your starter 
stick on, to have the car reman powered up after you remove the key, or 
to have to jiggle the ignition switch to get the headlights to work.  My 
DIL drives the car, and she's hauling my severely handicapped and 
essentially helpless grandson around in it, making it an issue of some 
concern in our family.  If it weren't for the fact her amazingly 
reliable 84 Vanagon doesn't have power steering, I'd dump the Q and get 
on with my life.  I strongly suspect the switches we get from the dealer 
are the SAME ones carried by Worldpac and IMC, and are made in China.
