VAG relays for Eurovan

Ti,

These relays are associated with the Dual Coolant Fan/AC Series Resistance Control -
Independently Controllable Dual fans with first, second and third speeds.

114 is the low speed operation that kicks on with AC and if it does not work, can result
in overpressure of the AC system = kaboom! If the fan does not operate low speed when
AC is on, this relay may be culprit - mine melted and the swaged fitting on the high
side blew apart.

The details of the operation are not easy to trace in any diagrams I've seen, although
the Blue Bentley does give some clues - just does not tell what these are and their
location. It is easier to trace them by hand. You can easily follow the leads to and
from the fans, inline fuses, and series resistance pack.

I think that the two 98s are each controlling the separate fans - second speed and the
111's are for third speeds. I may have this bass-ackwards or just plan wrong.

I've cross-posted to the EV list in case someone can provide more information.

I found this location a good place to add independent lighting relays. Now if I could
just source a set of Eurolights for this van, because compared to the AUDI DOT lights,
these suck even worse. I didn't know lights could be worse until I got this VAN!

Cheers!

Ben

MAC - my Eurovan thinks its an AUDI - inline 5 cylinder engine and magalu wheels from a
V8 Quattro!

Haudi all.
Trying to find out what 5 relays are for. They are under the hood of a '92
Eurovan (Canadian, US '93 likely the same), driver's side. 2 on the outside
have 111 on top, middle 1 is a bit taller and has 114, then inside 2 have
98. Maybe lights, maybe A/C ...
Thanks for any help.
