any thing can fail prematurely.

However, i'd look first at sway bar links, then control arm ball joints.

True, failure can happen at any time.  I did notice this noise after some spirited driving through some twistys (very fun!!!).  Actually the next day.

What am I looking for?  I'm totally clueless.  I jacked up the right side, turned wheel and no noise.
