The A6 doesn't have a strut bearing -- it doesn't have a "strut" as
the front suspension isn't a MacPherson strut design. The top of the
shock absorber isn't an axis of steering rotation. Suspension creaks
on Audi's 4-link virtual-geometry suspension cars are usually due to
worn tie rod ends, control arm arm bushings, or sway bar bushings.

Ti,

Thanks for correcting me. Would have looked and felt like a fool after opening up the suspension and not finding a bearing.

I'll go for the easiest and check the tie rod end, sway bar bushings, and then the control arms.
