Wheel Shipping Costs

$250 for UPS Ground sounds a bit high. Perhaps you punched in a wrong number on the UPS site or something.

I agree with Grant... However, in my case I had 2 Fuchs that I shipped via UPS from PA to CA. I put each wheel in seperate box and shipped UPS Ground. (each box weighed 20LBS and each wheel insured $500.) My receipt says $43.38 for each wheel so for both boxes that was a total of about $87. That was in April of 2007 so price will be a bit higher. If you are shipping these wheels to a private party who won't mind picking up the boxes at the nearest Greyound bus terminal get a quote from Greyhound. Also, I have found that FedEx is usually cheaper than UPS for larger sized shipments.
