I agree here, in the fact that if you want a tire lasting basically in the
40-60kmi range, which it seems youre looking for, its not going to be a
"good" tire by most peoples assesments. I'm happy with 12k to 15k on a set
of RS3's or T1R tires, and that's really excellent. Because they grip like
mad, and there is no replacement for something like that. You getting that
tire to 32k is a feat, it means that likely you never push the car cornering
in any way which is fine, but you probably don't need something like that.
Not many good all seasons out there in snow, I feel. The quattro system
helps but real snows will be many many times better than any all season.
General makes a great snow tire which the name alludes me, but the altimax
HPs are a decent allseason by general. I took those through veil pass in a
nasty storm and made it out. Kuhmo Excsta's are my choice on the Audi,
somewhat cheap but very good performer for the money. Even their UHP
offering is pretty nice.
Like he said, Treadwear in the 400 range. I'd stay away from 550+ rated
tires, they are too much of a trade off for high wear ratings...
