Above concerns the internal design of the shock absorber - it can have that
internal bump stop whether it's an insert, integral to the strut or a
classic shock on its own.
And "off-road driving" seems used very loosely in this case. They should
say gravel roads.

Here you're talking about suspension design/type, regardless of what type
shock is used for damping.

And to have a strong, hard to break suspension as in rally - on all 4
corners. Anything can be hastily designed and built with cheap materials to
save money - as the formerly big three have shown. Many years ago a set of
used rally uprights for an UrQ was advertised for about $8K US.
