All I know for sure is that my 87 5ktq had wiper arms that just pivoted 90
degrees from the hub, and the hood had to be full open to allow it. (Come
to think of it, I still have the old arms.) On a closed hood, they bumped
the rear edge of the hood at maybe 15 degrees, I think. That is why the
ones Dave brought me were so valuable. They had the pivot farther out the
arm, not exactly over the hub. This allowed the 90 degree pivot, just
clearing the rear of the closed hood.
