Right, keeping the turbo boost up while braking is a common
technique used in racing, and our favorite Audi rally drivers of
the 1980s demonstrated that most impressively. ;)

But surely modern race cars would be running custom ECU programming,
so it isn't really an issue.

For a street car I think a throttle override is a prudent
safety feature.
