My DBW S4 has it, I’m pretty sure it goes to idle when activated

As for the sport applications of left foot braking, keeping a big turbo spooled up might be one (but software should sort that these days) I can also see RWD rallying applications in keeping the rear “loose” under braking.

The only thing I ever used it for was to bed new pads/discs in.
