Oh, yes. Its known to be over-riden in All VAg products. Apparently it is not in all Toyota products. There's also the issue of where nt he software logic tree it is implemented. I wont get into all the details, but for maximum reliability it must be a) hgih on the decision tree and b) implemented in fail-safe ( normally off) mode.

The question now is - if the over ride did network or was not implemented, what are the complications of simply grinding it to a stop with the brakes. remember cars go 60-0 in <200 feet and 0-60 in nearly 1/4 mile. but its complicatd by 1) abs 2) vacuum depete 3) brake fade.
