I concur on the Garmin.  Even though my Nuvi has taken me on the most direct
route,(taken me on tertiary roads, as opposed to secondary and primary) it
has bailed me out of situations, i.e. Amish country where the roads are dirt
and not labeled and has gotten me home or to my destination without fail.
