that was not an estimate.; Aside from the fact that $750 was paid by
audi since my t-stat seized in warranty, i PAID that $2475. Its
quite typical around here ( NYC area)
High? Its outrageous. Stealers typically are.
The RS6 motor is not that different in the areas we're discussion
here- except that all the plumbing makes the job harder. I have no
idea why a pressurized 4.2 needs a belt done more often than a
regular one.....if there's a reason, someone tell me. There is no
distinction between, for example , the 2.7L and the 2.8L.
In fact if you look at bentley, pages 03-57 and 03-58 there is NO
difference between RS6 and S6 maintenance intervals. For anything.
The RS-6 in fact , is not listed separately. but it is covered, for
things like turbo plumbing and Brembo brakes.
So i remain skeptical.
