you're confusing DOT 5 and 5.1. DOT5 is silicone. DOT 5.1 is not. I did not realize it was fundamentally different from 3 and 4, so I didn't answer.

I strongly recommend GT-LMA from castrol - good numbers and is less hygroscopic
