Extended Warranty?? - Follow up

Thanks to everyone who took the time to reply to my post, and thanks for
providing such thorough and useful feedback. Based on that feedback and some
additional conversations, I've decided to self-insure. I'm confident in the
car, and am going to take the risk that over the next four years it'll cost
me less than $5,400. Now all I have to do is determine whether to have the
dealer perform all the x5,000 mile checks or just go to a qualified Audi
mechanic to do the important stuff - which seems to be oil/fluid changes and
a lot of inspections - presumably for less than an average of $700 per
visit.
