Need help picking C5 A6 or 02-04 A4?

Is that maintenance with respect to a V8? (the 400 dollar cam plugs). For
the price of these cars used spending money on maintenance is ok in my
books. i'll do most myself (ok ok..with help from my guru friends) anyway...
this will be my long distance car...probably keep running the Echo back and
forth to work on 'most' days ..or perhaps i just tell myelf that now :)
Guess i need to do more research as well. So many choices!
