I can give my facts (major repairs only):
2003 www.bennysforeignmotor.com timing belt paid $500 labour.
6 years later during next belt replacement in another shop I am told timing belt was loose.
2004 or 05 www.briansgarage.com valve stem seals paid $500 parts and labour.
5 years later valve cover gasket slightly leaking.
2008 www.woodingsgarage.com wheel bearing and rear brake pads, don't recall the price, nothing unusual.
2009 www.briansgarage.com steering rack paid $900 parts and labour.
steering rack itself installed good but
a) neglected to replace or tell about petrified rack return line which I was forced to replace later myself.
b) destroyed airbag coil spring by most likely not fixating steering wheel during replacement as Bentley manual says.
c) din't buy a new $10 lock plate (required per Bentley), resulting in inner tire rod bolts going loose pretty quickly, fortunately alignment guy caught it.
2010 www.force5auto.com clutch $1000 timing belt around $500 parts and labour. Much cheaper then the same job in Boston, well worth 70 mile trip.
2010 www.fastrackservice.com alignment. too early to comment. do you own research.
HTH.
