Dead End on Ignition Switch Replacement

I recently removed an airbag steering wheel for the first time and am
disappointed that I waited so long to do so. It isn't difficult and once I
got comfortable with the procedure to deactivate the airbag, I had it on and
off a couple times in a week. It really does make removing the IC so much
easier. I have done it before w/o and have the scratches, etc. to show for
it. Patience is not my long suit. Once the steering wheel is off, it's one
more bolt to remove all the stalk switches and presto, the whole IC and all
that stuff behind/under it is right at your finger tips. A little extra
time can make an already difficult/unknown procedure way easier.

Steering wheel removal is easy...and makes doing the I/C easier as
well...which may prevent damaging of connectors and/or the IC itself. I did
mine 3 times... having the 24mm socket makes doing the wheel a breeze. i got
it out with the wheel on the first time... and decided to try with wheel off
on second attempt due to frustration the first time. anyway, either way
works. cheers!
