Lots of modern cars seem to require the removal of the entire front of 
the car to do anything, but usually it's not so much of a nightmare.
To replace the alternator on a New Beetle requires removing the entire 
body forward of the windshield, for example.
Does the phrase "open for maintenance alignment" ring any bells?
