FYI issue on triptronic

I know, crazy. I will find out the exact wire that was pinched that shorted out the fuse that affected it all that put it in limp mode.

Ok, I'll bite.... The only electrical item in my sunvisor (besides the vanity mirror light) is the Homelink, but I can't imagine how that would be tied
into the transmission..... Unless it's related to the position of the ignition switch, since the Homelink only works with the switch in the 'on' position.....

Subject: FYI issue on triptronic

My 99 A6 Avant has been in the shop for two weeks. They have been trying to diagnose an intermittent problem with the triptronic.  It was not always going in to R or D and then would get sent to limp mode. After chasing a lot of ideas that turned out to be red herrings, the problem was a short in the wiring to the driver's sun visor.
