Thank you for Quattro123.com...do you know anyone in the Philly So NJ area

I'll second this advice... When I pulled the distributor on my 200q20v Avant
to install the brass distributor gear, I had no spark after resinstall. I
had also retensioned the timing belt. I went back through and reset all the
timing marks and it fired right up.

Stan-
One of the best pieces of advice I ever got was from a very experienced Alfa
mechanic. I'd basically done the same relatively simple and supposedly
low-impact changes you did, and suddenly the car wouldn't start.
I called him in a panic to try to get some debug steps, and the first thing
he said was:
"What did you do? The car used to run, so the most likely thing is
something you did broke it. Go back and double/triple check everything you
did, then call me back"
It turned out that the new distributor cap had the #1 cylinder marked in the
wrong spot for no readily available reason, and I'd used that rather than
the old cap & wires when I installed all the new stuff. Reorder the plug
wires, varooom!
So, every time I mess up something, the first thing I always ask myself is
"what did I do?"
I suspect your timing is out enough (combination of the T-belt and
distributor work) that the engine isn't seeing a good signal from the hall
sender in the distributor, and the ECU isn't triggering any spark.
Good luck, and don't get discouraged. The 200 20Vs are great cars, and
relatively easy to work on.
