Huw,
This is the European S2 "E-S2" conversion I've been working on for quite some time. The
car is a pearl white '90 Coupe Quattro being refitted with S2/RS2 modifications. The
engine is a variation based on the RS2 engine and drivetrain. The engine is 2.3l
reworked 3B block, AAN head with RS2 manifolds and turbo - see link for more details on
the build. The transmission is 01E Six speed from Canada S2. A lot of details, more
than can be mentioned even in the Motorgeek thread here:
http://www.motorgeek.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=25898&p=467998#p467998
I'm getting close to being able to take her out for a good spin, but have had problems
mostly with the transmission linkage. I hope the level of detail put into this one
shows a little bit from the pictures, but much of it really can't be seen via internet
to be appreciated fully.
I am building this car to be the Uber car for me - at least until, unless I get the itch
to carry forth with 3.7l V8 twin turbo transplant into - well I don't know yet! Maybe
the E-S2's body double in my driveway, or the 200 Quattro 20V with V8 front end I call
"The Deerslayer" http://www.gtquattro.com/200Q20V8.html or ?? Maybe someone will save
my sanity (whats left of it) and take the V8TT project engine off my hands.
Right now I'm concentrating on completing the E-S2, at least to the 98% level. Still
needs 5 lug conversion for Porsche Big Red Brake upgrade and some additional suspension
parts installed - I'll likely tackly those in the spring.
Enjoy!
Ben

I'll probably have between $500 and $1k in the sound system. I'm doing that only
because of the time and money already invested in the car - one that I plan to keep
forever.
Funny, I don't remember you ever telling us what year/model it is.
