AUDIophile

It all depends on how big an audiophile you are, what equipment you use,
etc. I'm not a true audiophile with a sound system that costs as much
as a car, but I am very picky about sound quality. If I had a
compatible player, I'd rip stuff in FLAC or a codec like Apple Lossless
or WMA lossless with no appreciable loss in sound quality. I do,
however, have a good setup consisting of a Sandisk Sansa Clip +, Monster
Turbine Pro Miles Davis Edition, and I'm in the market for a good amp
(Boostaroo comes to mind), and 320 Kbps or very high VBR works well
enough. I prefer AAC over MP3, but that's just me.

So it all depends on how serious an audiophile you really are.
Remember- the word audiophile simply means sound-lover.
