What was the Verdict on the Intermittent "Check Engine Light" Problem

I just pulled the ECU codes.  It has only 2 codes stored:

2411 which means: 1989-91 Audi 100 only Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve, 
(California Vehicles only)
2132 which means: 1989-91 Audi 100 Only Data Wiring Defective, check wiring 
(California Vehicles only)


The EGR valves sell for about $300...I know that for many cars, the EGR 
valve can be cleaned with Carb cleaner (just like the ISV valves on type 
44's).  Anyone know if these EGR valves can also be cleaned with Carb 
cleaner?

As for the 'data wiring defective, check wiring' ...wow, there's a hornet's 
nest...Any ideas where to start with that one?  I know that the original 
factory radio had a 'data' wire which was left unplugged after installing an 
aftermarket radio...that couldn't possibly be the 'data wiring' its 
referring to could it?
