squeaking noise on '88 80Q

Oleg,

I had a vw quantum (virtually the same engine) that did that for years.
Nothing bad ever happened. I suppose that the water pump bearings probably
wear a little faster. If you didn't just do the timing belt, I'd think twice
about adjusting the belt. There's a good chance that if you do, the o-ring
on the water pump won't re-seal, and you'll have to replace the o-ring,
which is a pain.
