Electrical issues, headlights relay - '87 4000

Hi all,
after my headlight switch melted the third time, I finally relayed my
headlights. The headlights work fine, however, it did not solve the
melting switch issue, and added two other issues.
main issue 1. The switch still gets really hot at the bottom within
minutes, just with the parking lights on. When the switch melted the
last time, just the parking lights where on for a few minutes while I
was in the store. The red wire # 30 really burnt up good, so i
replaced that connector along with the headlight switch socket.
I asked a friend for some advice and he told me to look for a short,
but not quite sure how to tackle that since no fuses are popping.
Fuses are the correct amperage. I also noticed that the tail light
circuit boards get really hot, you cant really touch them for more
then a few seconds. Searching the archives I did not find any emails
about relaying the parking lights. An earlier search did bring up
something about relaying both parking lights, along with the interior
lights, but no longer can find that post. Does anyone have some more
info about that?

2. After relaying the headlights, my high beam indicator no longer
works. Not a big deal, but still would be nice to have. Having a look
at the Bentley, looks like its circuit 56ak, that got powered by the
right headlight before. Do I have to connect that wire to the relay?
If so, it should go on the 7 of the high beam relay?
3, My central locking system no longer operates, fuse is good. I did
at one time create a little spark with a loose wire on the driver door
- may have taken out the ground of the locking system? Did not have a
look into it yet.

Thanks,

and does anybody have some Euro lights for sale?
