It's back. Two weeks ago, after the mechanic couldn't find anything
wrong and I had him replace the 2 port-side O2 sensors, I got in the
car for my trip from NH to NY and again the car wouldn't start until
the third try. Again the same codes (in the subject line). It's also
occasionally throwing one for a bad catalytic converter. I was ready
to give up.
It was fine for 2 weeks. And once again today, ready to do the NH-NY
trip, it threw those codes. Again I persevered and it started on the
third try, after throwing the codes.
I'm thisclose to giving up on Audis. Searching Craigslist for a Honda,
I found a dealer in MA that also had a nice 2001 A6 2.7T for the same
money... No, I can't! But I've been eying them. And then I'd find an
A6 with 4.2L V8. And I think about an A8. And then I'd find an S8 for
not a lot more. I think I need a twelve step program or rehab of some
sort.
Anyway, if anyone can shed some light on intermittent "Fuel Injector
Circuit Open" on all 6 injectors, I'd be willing to listen.
