Without seeing it, based on your descriptin and dialogue, it sounds
reasonable.

The issues the cab will face are very similar to the 90's and A4's of that
time frame. I've been been pretty impressed at some of the Cabriolet's ive
seen for sale lately. As always though, caveat emptor! and dont get swept up
into diving right in. Practice due dilligence and if the owner is willing to
work with you that would increase my confidence.

If the CV's havent been riding around torn for too long, I would suggest a
reboot/grease re-pack. The aftermarket CV's are spotty at best and OE dealer
versions are as much as some peoples monthly rent.
