B3 dash swap in to a B2? Anyone have any insight?

With the early dash coming out of my ur-quattro, and knowing I am going to spend way more then I should on this project, i figured I'd look in to alternatives to the 85-87 4000/CGT dash and see if anyone has tackled a B3 (88-91) dash swap in to a B2? Any information greatly appreciated, I am sure rewiring the console would be in order, and likely some cutting on the dash but havent been able to find much on the swap. I am certain the dash would need to be recessed a bit as on the B3 sedan the dash overlays the door panel by a few inches, which is not the case on the stock B2 dashes.
