I did the previous numbers really quick before I went to work.  I'll 
give you a Jetta SE, which has the 5 cylinder and add in the moonroof 
(which also forces the Convenience package,) this makes the price 
differential 2800 from a TDI (Numbers based on KBB Fair Market price 
in my area.)  Strangely enough, the 5 cylinder gets better 
mileage?  Plus I had the cost of diesel a bit high (going off the top 
of my head previously.)  My new figures give you a break even point 
of 140k miles ($132 vs $112/1000 miles.)  This is still pretty far 
out there as far as I'm concerned to make switching to diesel a sound 
economic decision.
