The keys will also be locked in the car if the battery goes dead, then is
hooked up to a charger or jumper cables. For some reason, the sudden spike
in voltage activates the central locking system to lock all the doors. So,
if you are ever jumping your older Audi, don't do it with the doors closed
and the key inside ;-) BTDT, out comes the coat hangar!
