If you don't like downshifting, 3.2 is the way to go. Mashing the pedal is
not the fastest way to drive a turbo.

Part of the problem is the dual-mass flywheel, all in the name of smooth
drive. I recently installed a clutch kit in 1.8T with a single-mass flywheel
- 14.6 lb. - in the place of the 22 lb. dual-mass and it feels happier.
Every bit as smooth as the OEM, if needed, after a day of driving and
getting used to it. DK if single-mass flywheels are available for 2.0T.
