Radiator woes

Oopsie, back to square one, then.

I think running the tranny with no cooling is a really bad idea.  Can 
you figure out a way to Tee in some coolant flow to those cooler lines? 
  Perhaps in the expansion tank inlet and outlet hoses?

I assume the tranny cooler is passive wrt to flow and the engine's water 
pump does all the work?

If not, and it has its own little pump (or you want to add one...) you 
rig up a separate coolant filled system for it, just remember to allow 
for expansion.  That sounds like a lot of fun.

I'd look harder for the correct radiator, or look into something 
"custom" made.
