Radiator woes

Thanks all for all your advice on this.

In the end we got a bit of cable-gland which had one end threaded to 
about the right diameter, and machined down the other end so that it had 
the same OD as the original connector, leaving a ridge on the end for 
the jubilee clip to grip onto. Then we stuck this into the radiator with 
some high-temperature epoxy, finally got the damn thing back into the 
car, and all seems to be good.

Except that the second-speed fan isn't kicking in. <sigh>. I probably 
didn't plug the connector in right.

The repair looks pretty good for now. If we have any problems in the 
next couple of weeks, I guess we'll take the oil cooler part off the 
bottom of the radiator and replace the radiator.
